Vikings trade for Cam Robinson

You think he is much better than I do. I don’t think he holds a candle to Decker. Below average starter for me, but to each his own.

Because its teams in the playoff hunt. If Hutchinson wasn’t hurt i would say, we dont need to make move. Hutchinson was running for def player of the year, thats a bigger lose then we all think. I kept hearing no body besides hutch can get pressure, now its like dont sell the market were ok.

Decker isn’t hurt all the time, which is a quality you don’t get with Cam Robinson.

Probably recency bias my friend… Decker is probably better…just been getting cooked recently. But I’d take Cam as tackle all day if he got hurt. Would be way than Skipper starting. We don’t wanna see that ever.

It takes two to tango. Just because the Jags are having a fire sale on high priced veterans doesn’t mean other teams are too.

Lions Fans: “OMG the Vikings just got better. Do something Brad!”

Vikings Fans: “OMG we just got better. Thank you Kwesi!”

Jags Fans: “OMG the Vikings just traded for a guy that can’t block James Houston. WTF?”

I’d rather face Robinson at LT than Darrisaw.

It’s good they were able to replace their starter this way. Good for them, that is. If the Jags want to part with one of their defensive starters, I’m sure we’re game.

The compensation certainly says a lot about what NFL trams think of Robinson… even with his salary.

Vikings are giving up a conditional 5th rounder in 2026….
which may become a 4th rounder in 2026 based on playing time.

Chiefs could use a OLT…. yet @JG2ASB ’s favorite GM didn’t even pull the trigger on this trade.

Also… I will point out that Robinson is a UFA after this season…
which means the Jags could have kept him and hoped to get a comp pick in 2026.
They obviously didn’t think he would command enough money on the open market to get a top comp pick.

Vikings didn’t pay much on way of picks. I was hoping it was worse for them

I get it, but it’s about cost. We could trade a 4th for Charles Harris and “get better.” But would you?

I understand that. But what if its 3rd and 13 lions up by 4 in nfcc game and zero pressure and they score a game winning TD. We’re all here thinking omg we needed a pass rusher. How come others are making trades then? I can see it now it will cost us. Money wont be a issue next year, so do something

Why is that even mentioned. Cam is a upgrade yes or no from what they would’ve har running every week?

Not the point.

You’re not wrong, but we don’t know what DEs are on the market or what their current teams really want for them. Minny got Robinson for cheap because he’s overpaid and has injury concerns.

No doubt. But hes still better then what they would’ve had.

Upgrade over Quessenberry? Yes.

However… Cam is due ~ $9.3 million in base salary and per game roster bonuses…. for 1/2 of a season.

Considering that the compensation is next to nothing…
I would guess the Jags didn’t retain much of that salary.

The Vikings are paying a LOT of cash for a 1/2 seaon rental that joins a team quarterbacked by Sam Darnold.

They will be fine with money. JJ will take over next year.

I can’t wait for the Charles Harris to Bears thread. “That stupid former director of college scouting sitting on his ass again while the division rivals get so much better.”
