Waddle traded to Broncos

Local boy Sieler was my first thought, but apparently his contract is really team friendly.

Them signing him is the only reason I don’t think they’re tanking for Arch or whoever. Sign Geno or someone like that if that’s the plan, bringing in Willis says something else.

Of course they could also be tanking for Jeremiah Smith.

They’re tanking for Jeremiah Smith

Tank for a WR? Okay. :man_shrugging:

They have their WR3-4-5 set with Washington, Tolbert, Atwell. They are just missing their 1 & 2 lol

I think I’d rather have Tootie instead of TuTu.

I had thought the best way forward for Miami was to cut Tua and eat the salary cap turd sandwich while rebuilding around draft picks. Willis is on a cheap deal as far as veteran QBs go, so if he fizzles out they haven’t invested too much in him. I suspect they’ll take a QB who they think has starter potential in this draft just to see if they can get their guy now between Willis and the rookie. It’s worth a shot since they have the draft capital to take a flier on someone.

No tanks.

The Fins gonna look like an expansion team with that roster next season.

Might as well trade Achane. If I was the Bears, Pats, Panthers…would offer up.

They already have that guy IMO in Ewers. He wasn’t that bad in his limited time down the stretch.

But I think your overall outlook on the Willis signing is correct. It’s not a big deal type of contract that takes them out of the QB1 or 2 in next years draft. It gives them options. They are in a total rebuild with everything on the table.

Well I’m mostly being facetious. It’s more about ā€œcomfortable with any of the guys at the topā€ situation. And who wouldn’t be in this draft? If it turns out Willis is worth it, then they can pivot to someone like Smith or Moore.

I like Waddle. Super fast athletic reciever, but small. He’s good, but not great. He’s also hurt a lot. This is a terrible trade for the Broncos. They gave up way too much it’s crazy.

We play them… so this is good maybe?!

They have the potential to go winless

I think the #1 pick next year would suit their plans nicely. They might as well cut ticket prices to a dollar and quadruple the cost of booze for this season.

Poor Fins. As if losing Larry Borom wasn’t enough!

It’s a lot to pay for Waddle though. He looked great a couple of years ago but he’s been injured quite a lot.

Makes you wonder what we’d have got –purely hypothetically - if we’d been shopping Jamo. Who do we think would have paid the most and how much do you we think we’d have got back in return?

Honestly I would rather have Jamo than Waddle. I actually think he’s faster at this point and far less prone to injury. Plus he’s 2.5 years younger. Waddle does the slot-receiver-y stuff better than Jamo, but that’s not the best way to use either one of them. I don’t know that we’d get quite as much of a return, but I suspect it would be something like that. Other teams know the threat Jamo presents and what it can do for an offense or TO a defense. I think he’s probably more respected in league circles than our own fanbase.

I could of seen the Giants before Mooney offer a deal for him Nabers/Jamo/Slayton/Likely would be really good for Dart not including Skat/Tracey/Johnson as options as well.

Could seen them doing like a Thibs and picks for Jamo type of deal

I could see a lot of teams interested, but yeah they would have been one. But I wouldn’t trade him for damn near anything. At this point he’s a huge bargain.

I was told that he was only good as a system QB.

Dellfinitely!
