Washington - Detroit in the playoffs

Lions beat Washington by 30 if they play them. I’m hoping for a Redskins upset of the Buccaneers.

When I think of Redskins-Lions I don’t think rivalry, I think of the Redskins usually spanking the Lions. I wasn’t even upset in '91 because I knew the Lions had no chance, that was arguably the best team of all time and I’d say maybe the most underrated team of all time that rarely gets talked about as an all time great but should.
However, if I were to have a preferred opponent for next week it would be them. Rookie QB in the Lions Den in Ford Field, that’s an enormous task.

Its nice to see some people still remember how damn good that 91 Skins team was. Its still in my top 5 most dominant teams that I have personally witnessed. Statistically…and by the eye test…they were basically the 99 Rams on offense and the 85 Bears on defense.

Looking closer at the offense, they were a “pick your poison” team like the current Lions. If they needed to air it out with Art Monk, Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders…they could do it. If they needed to pound you on the ground with Ernest Byner and Ricky Ervins…they could do it. To make matters worse they had All Pro return man Brian Mitchell setting things up.
