Way too Early Offseason Thread

This is where you can talk about mock drafts and free agency wishes. Yes, I’m already thinking about next year.

Haven’t looked at draft prospects too closely yet but I bet a lot of teams look to go QB early. I’ve heard it’s a deep draft for CB too. If we are lucky we get a blue chip LT in the first and a first round CB falls to us in the second

Also depends how strong Davis comes back. We might need to find a pass rushing LB as a priority

This is the first time though thinking about the Lions as a team I don’t see any screaming defecencies in multiple position groups

well, since we are drafting 32nd this next draft, who gonna be there?!

So the patriots are trading up to 15? Bold move

We need a top LT. Another CB.

Glasgow and Ashawn are going to cost a lot more than that. Amari Cooper would as well but I doubt he gets out of Dallas.

Glasgow is going to get AT LEAST $5 million/season
Ashawn is going to get AT LEAST $8 million/season
Melvin is playing well and will get much more than he signed for this year, he’s on a prove it contract right now and he’s making money so far

Stop destroying my fantasies.

Glasgow is going to get 8m per I bet. Price of starting caliber guards has skyrocketed recently

Share some of your drafts.

One guy I really like is Derrick Brown.

It’s crazy how well he carries 325-330 pounds. Kind of freaky in fact.

Good player. I’d rather get a threat off the edge if we go defensive line but we won’t be picking high enough to get one of the elite guys

Agree with others. You are WAY underpaying for Glasgow/Robinson.

I think there is a reasonable chance that one/both of them are extended during the season, probably Glasgow. Robinson might want to test the FA market. I think he gets a lot more than most here are thinking.

How about the draft? Thoughts?

I like mine better

Round 1 Pick 14: Grant Delpit, FS/SS, LSU (A+)
Round 2 Pick 14: Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin (A)
Round 3 Pick 14: Tommy Kraemer, OG, Notre Dame (A)
Round 4 Pick 14: Alex Leatherwood, OG, Alabama (A)
Round 5 Pick 13: Raequan Williams, DT, Michigan State (A+)

I doubt Taylor is going to drop to the second round the way he is running

Was just looking at the CBS mock. They have us taking Kristian Fulton CB LSU with the 8th pick.
I mean, I doubt we’re picking that high, and our DB’s are kicking ass.
I’m thinking a fast as lightning DE, if we pick for need.
I was hoping Eason would fall to the second or third round. That’s the kid to push Stafford. They have him going to the Titans at 12.

This isn’t the year to pick one really. This is more of an interior defensive linemen draft. Last year was the year to pick a speedy edge rusher.

How did you pick him in mid 2? Jonathan Taylor doesn’t even get out of the 1st round when I draft.
