Obviously there is a character concern, here. But evidently he was legit at Florida.
Houston, 6-foot-1, 240 pounds would play for the Florida football program from 2017-20, redshirting during his freshman season. Over the past three years, Houston became a major contributor for the Florida linebacker corps in the middle of the defense. He was known for his aggression and quickness, especially his ability to get in the offensive backfield.
Where do you see the character concern?
Not denying, just not seeing where that’s coming from. The piece in the link, he says it didn’t work out in terms of a path to the NFL, but that he earned his degree.
At @GoJSUTigersFB pro day where prospects from 5 Mississippi colleges working out for 21 NFL teams. Stealing the show is LB James Houston (@Jthouston_4) came in 6’ 1/4, 244 pounds w/ 22 bench reps, 39” vert.
