Welp, not everyone is a MCDC fan

Dan gets #22. That’s OK, we don’t need any more hype.
I do have to say though, that the top 10 or 12 here have earned it.
Most surprised about Vrabel. I thought he lost that team last year.

Did Tyrell Crosby write that article?

Well, if the Lions lose both Johnson and Glenn after this season, I guess we can start talking about the Dan Campbell coaching tree. That would be a Lions first :joy:

Hope so, because his tree looks like Charlie Browns.

We will send our 30th ranked punter in to kick their ass

Let’s just beat the Andy Reid lead team week 1 and see where the ranking are afterwards.

I am a huge MCDC fan and think he is the GUY, but…
Not surprising, how would you rank him higher when he has a 3 win and 9 win season?
Ranking is close given the results so far.

No, it was Barnes!

Doesn’t really bother me with his ranking, 3 to 9 wins and if the team progresses as we all think it will ranking will take care of itself.

It all depends on how you rank. This seems primarily based on past performance…track record if you will, and like you say, its hard to argue with. Alternatively, Vegas has odds for coach of the year, and DC is one of the leaders. Somewhere in between the two is when you ask yourself the question, if I could pick one of these 32 guys to lead a team (it would have to be a theoretical team, not the Lions), who would it be? I think Dan would be top 6 or 8 there. .

Right now, I wouldn’t trade him for anyone to lead the 2023 Lions.

I disagree. 3 + 9 = 12. Andy Reid had 14 wins last season. 14 - 12 = 2. Being that close to Andy Reid means that Dan Campbell should be ranked only 2-3 spots below Reid on the list.

I 100% agree with this statement, but that doesn’t put him in the top 10 of current coaches.

I think that is the only way it can be based. Otherwise it is all speculation.

Like you said, if you want a ranking based solely on who would you pick to lead a team (theoretical team) going forward, I think owners would put him in the top 10 but barely.

Campbell is hanging on to his favorite status, barely.

Man I’m not sure I can take all this odds stuff. MCDC up for COY and Lions favored in division? I think I need a medically induced coma and just wake up in February and ask what happened.

Oh hell no, I am going to live every minute of this season, if it becomes what I think it will, I want to see it live.

If it isn’t, meh, just another year in the life of a Lion’s fan which after 55+ years I can handle.

Ain’t that the truth. Our heartbreak battle armor is stronger than any other fanbases’ in the league. 9ers fans cry about losing the NFC Championship (which was very admirable by the way with their QB situation).

You poor things, you. You poor, poor things.

We’ve been drawn in to believe before. But man, never like this.

But, it has been weakened by all the hype. We have minus odds to make the playoffs. If we don’t…they’ve pierced my armor big time!

I agree with you, and have high expectations for this year’s team.

I’d take Campbell over everyone Nos. 13-21. After that, it gets tougher.
