What are your Monroe Freeling Offensive Tackle Georgia?

For me? Youth.

He’s only been in college 3 years and doesn’t have a ton of experience, and had many of the same issues to tackles endemic to that young: a lack of core strength, and his technique was really inconsistent.

However, the reason I like Freeling better than most is based on how much he improved over the last 5 or 6 weeks. That’s the exact sort of track you want to see from a developing tackle. The technique shored up, he wasn’t on the ground as often, and while he still has to gain strength, the flashes are pretty awesome. There’s no reason to believe he won’t, most tackles his age have the same issue (outside of the true freaks like Sewell).

To me he just feels like a guy who, if he went back to school, we’d be talking about as a slam dunk top 5 pick the following year. Maybe not in the freakishly loaded class that is 2027, but typically.
