What Contract Could Lions Offer Kevin Zeitler?

I’m hoping some of it was injury related, but he looked over the hill to me most of the year. Especially in pass pro. Just whiffing left and right. It wasn’t bull rushes beating him. It was swing and miss style, beat immediately stuff. Foot speed aint getting better with age unfortunately.

Yeah I think he’s more likely to get cut than be relied on as a starter. Though there is some team harmony issues to take into account, everyone seems to love him.

Spot on with your assessment all the way down. Though he does have $1m guaranteed in base salary this year, regardless.

10 mill is more than enough for in season moves unless you’re going big at trade deadline.

That may be, but Brad has kept $20m+ each of the last two years and it can’t be understated how much of a pressure point next year is, even before extending any of our big boys, and unused cap this year will rollover to 2026. I wouldn’t hold my breath to see Brad/Disner allocate less than they have in the pass.

FWIW, Graham Glasgow play this year was worth $4.8M this year per OTC, while playing the 1st and 2nd most snaps in his career in 2023 and 2024. Availability is valuable and he’ll probably play better with less snaps in a reserve role. He’s priced into a spot on the roster in 2025.

No offense, but OTC valuations are about as worthless as anything. They have Sewell with a $16m valuation, CD3 with a $3.5m valuation, Amik with a $1.7m valuation, etc.

Lions should cut Glasgow

Sewell is worth at least 5 times that!!!

So he’ll be the offensive version of mosely is what you’re saying?

Ahhh… you’re correct.

I saw that $1.5 million was injury guaranteed…
but missed the $1 million fully guaranteed.

So……

Is he worth paying an additional $5 million for 2025?

I still have to say “no” if they can get Zeitler back.

Graham Glasgow can back up 3 positions and do it better than those other guys on the bench … plus treating players like Grahem kindly goes a long way with other players.
He is a valuable asset to have around. Silly to cut him to save a few bucks.
Maybe he will take a pay cut.

Zeitler: Lets make this simple, bet on yourself Kevin.
Sign a $5M dollar guaranteed contract that will pay you $500K bonus for each game you play over game 10. Worst case is you get $5M, best case, you play all season and pocket $8.5M

Can he? Because Mahogany came in and instantly looked better than Graham. Not saying he isn’t valuable in that he can fill in at every IOL position, but at lthis point, it’s hard to say he’s an above-replacement level player.

The Lions paid Glasgow $7 million in cash for 2024,
and will pay him another $1 million in cash even if released for 2025.

$8 million is pretty kind for the season Glasgow had in 2024.
