Talking about keeping Dmo and Gibbs in pass pro. Just made me wonder, did I see any empty backfield sets?
Next time we face them, how about some 4 WRs plus Sam from the shotgun? I don’t recall us trying that.

I’m not sure about that, there was very little coach speak there. He kindly called out Gibbs and the rest of our core as not playing well. Sounded like a bit of putting coaches on notice as well.
He mentioned about being slow to adjust and coaches needing to be on the same page. This wasn’t emotional Dan, this was a little pissy Dan let his guys know this wasn’t good enough while also taking accountability himself.
He pretty much touched on everything we have been talking about

He sounded exactly how I wanted him to sound; no excuses, not good enough, total team loss, but at the same time zero reason for panic.

I got it figured out. We should just like make Gibbs the QB when we play the Vikings, on some plays. Then he can pitch to Goff who will have a little more time to pass not having to deal with the failure of the OLine and RBs to pick up that A gap blitzes.

It didn’t work in LA either. Was the worst play against Washington. I knew it would be a strip sack. Was the same in LA. Anyone who calls that play with Jared close to the end zone is out of their mind. Even away from the end zone bad things usually happen. I’m with you, Sheepish.

I like the guy but gosh, the team has to play better after a bye.
- The play-offs lost to Washington came after the bye.
- The lost to Minny after a bye.
- Super Bowl will be after 2 week bye???
Will we get to a super bowl and get clobbered or a moral victory???

Meh. Shotgun empty was a staple for dudes like Brady and Manning, not exactly the Mahomes type. It can be a good wrinkle to thrwart pressure and put a defense back on it’s heels if executed.
Or not.
But I’d have never ever have gotten laid if I had that attitude.

NO, each time we lose, Dan shows up behind a podium, and does exactly the same thing , talks the same way, how we have to work on this or that, hangs his head at times, says “we got to be better. and rattles off all the things that went wrong, we were already discussing . it gets a little dry and almost rehearsed. “to me.”

your right , but I guess I’ll refrain from watching the pressers.
What is he supposed to say? I kind of think comments from coaches after games are somewhat worthless in general. They’re not going to throw players under the bus and they’re not going to give away what they may say behind closed doors to the team. They’re going to give some level of coach-speak and move on.
