Higher heights? Jared had 3 games with ratings north of 153 last year, where 158.3 is perfect. Those are pretty high heights. I’ll guess that Matt hasn’t had 3 such games in 16 seasons. I’m guessing few active QBs have.
You must be judging “height” by something other than actual performance.
A person can hit higher heights without achieving the QBR that another achieves.
I would even say that Goff has out-performed himself on occasion where the number wouldn’t reflect that. It came up in a game thread last year on at least one occasion. You watch a guy carry a team to victory with clutch throws, yet somehow his score drops from a 135 to a 108 before it’s all said and done.
I’ve posted this before, but I think it’s accurate.
The most jarring difference between the two quarterbacks is their reaction when a defensive coordinator says, “Okay, we’re going to triple-cover your best receiver and completely take him out of the game. You simply cannot complete a pass to him.”
Goff is like, “Cool. I’ll just go to my third-string, no-name tight end for the first down that you left open. Thanks for making it easy.”
I mess up sometimes @Richard_Parker and I can’t remember a laundry list of things, I’m not going to state my medical history for the 50th time , but as a child/a young boy, I had a tumor on my brain and people cutting and scraping on my brain- BUT I’m man enough to say I slip up and make mistakes-sorry.
