Get some picks and draft his replacement. I dont see holmes forking up a ton on other wr. I think we could get some vaule with draft picks
That would really suck. I see Jamo as a generational talent. He forces the defense to scheme his way.
Yes, invest 3 years into a player and just as he starts delivering a return while on a cheap contract, they’re gonna trade him? Zero chance
You think holmes is going to pay him 30 plus? I dont.
I think Holmes has it all figured out.
Its just a question.
We made a pretty aggressive trade up to get him. I think we likely resign him.
Unknown… But he’s definitely going to pay him $5.4 million this year and 99% likely pay him $15.5 million next year… He’s an elite talent
You might be right
Hes going to want 30 plus. No way that happens
Dude… Who’s talking about 2027? You asked about this year.
Because you will get more now then waiting then. Relax its a question.
He has two years left on his pretty team-friendly deal, and he’s far too valuable with his skills at this pay rate. He’s not going anywhere.
We riot!
No offense intended… But it’s a pretty dumb question… Should they trade Goff? Could get a first rounder to replace him and cap savings… Sounds dumb, right?
Rude.
Sunk cost fallacy
We made a pretty aggressive trade to get Ifeatu Melifonwu too*
*before you ask, Goff, Jamo, Gibbs, and LaPorta were just throw-ins in that deal
And others as well.
If we drafted a WR this year that looks pretty good as a rookie… Next offseason Jamo could get interesting. But he’s definitely a Lion in 2025 and most likely 2026. But if the draft pick is excelling and Jamo wants 30+ mill per season… It’s possible we move on. We shall see what Holmes does in the draft.
All I meant by that is he was highly coveted by Brad and he provides a skill set few people in this league has. He is an ascending talent. Assuming the Lions are happy with him and are interested in resigning him I’m sure they will. Whether it is this year or next year is to be determined. Just my opinion.
