I went so hard on Alter Bridge for a couple years. They are truly one of the best bands out there. Think I’ll listen to my library today.

They are easily one of the best of the era imo. Fagen’s apparently an asshole, but eh, I just assume all creative geniuses are assholes then am pleasantly surprised when they aren’t.

How about Skunk Baxter on guitar?
Pretty iconic sound.
Pretty fascinating how much time, money and how many session musicians went into the making of Aja. Baxter was technically a member I believe, but Lee Ritenour, Victor Feldman, Bernard Purdie, Michael McDonald right before he blew up. That would never happen today. Or it would be for a Dua Lipa album or some shit. There are some banging basslines on some really terrible pop songs right now.

I know their entire catalog by heart. So difficult to pick a favorite album, let alone song.

Honestly that’s true of all bands once you really love them. It’s really hard to like, make a mix tape for someone else and choose a single song off an album, there are just too many to love.
