I just saw Psychedelic Porn Crumpets a couple of weeks ago at a small venue. Saw King Gizzard in November. Both excellent, excellent live bands.

I dated a girl whose favorite band was Depeche Mode, same deal. I even went to see them at Pine Knob with her and it was actually a pretty good show. Not a band I would ever think of seeing if there wasn’t a hot woman involved. Personal Jesus is a pretty good tune and there are others.

Its not bad. Its not chester. I don’t dislike it at all. It’s just not chester. Hybrid Theory was a album i played nonstop when i was 17-19. I am definately in the story of the year, lincoln park, haste the day, crossfade, shinedown time period in my late teens early 20’s. I actually met shinedown when they opened for 3 Doors Down back in like 2002 i wanna say. Simple Man accustic live was unreal.

Swifties not enough because most of them are too young.
But i did work at a concert venue for a few years.
Country people by more beer than any one else hands down by a land slide.
They also leave the biggest mess and have the most arrests.

I work all over the country at huge events, and I completely disagree with this. The biggest mess I see consistently is Jaguar games. You would not believe the trash these people throw in their own parking lot. They have teams of people that scoop it up with snow shovels.
From all Genres of music, people have been SO good to me (for the most part). Country is the easiest to work with, biggest tippers, least violent, etc.

These last couple of comments made me think about incidents at music shows I’ve been to. And I really can’t recall anything major after hundreds of shows over the years.
I saw a guy pull out a gun at a George Carlin show in the Pine Knob parking lot. But he didn’t shoot anybody, thankfully. He did punch a woman in the head while trying to drag her out of a car. Nice fella.
I saw people throw glass beer bottles at the singer of the King Bees and hit him square in the face. Before they outlawed bottles at shows. This was the kind of welcome new wave/punk bands faced when opening for rock acts face back in the day. The Clash got booed off stage opening for The Who at the Silverdome, but no violence.
I was in a crowd of 400,000 for a Stones, AC/DC, Rush etc show in Toronto, but can’t recall a single incident.
Nothing like Altamont, thankfully.
