What players do you think will change their numbers?

The NFL has officially passed the rule allowing single-digit numbers for other positions. Here’s a fun idea. Who do you think will switch their numbers?

Notes: Okudah has said he won’t switch from 23, 7 is retired

RB: 1-49, 80-89
WR: 1-49, 80-89
TE- 1-49, 80-89
LB, 1-49, 90-99
DB: 1-49

Its going to be just like college but for whatever reason its going to seem really, really odd at first.

I think this is a Nike policy more so than an NFL one. I think LeBron tried to switch back to 6 in LA and give Anthony Davis 23, but Nike wouldn’t let him.

I’m sure that’s part of the agreement leagues have with their sponsors. As the article says Ochocinco ran into the same situation in the NFL with Reebok. Adrian Peterson tried to go from 28 to 23 in Minny and they told him it would cost $1M.

Personally I like it because it keeps players from switching all willy nilly. So you don’t go out one day as a fan to buy a #20 Barry Sanders jersey and then next year he’s #21. You go buy that and he switches to #23. LOL
