What’s for dinner?

OK I had to look up Shakshuka, what all did you use in yours? Grandma had it going on, not too many women drink Old Fashioneds.

Sausage, sweet peppers red onion tomatoes, tomato paste and more of an herb blend than indian spices this time. I usually change up the spice profile by region.

Yes she was.

I’ve been told I should open a restaurant to specifically sell this, and I’ve been told that by several different people.

I’m proud of it.

That looks really good. I have to stop coming on this thread in the middle of my intermittent fasting.

Are you making that Alfredo sauce from scratch; Heavy whipping cream, butter, fresh garlic, Parmesan cheese?

I’m not. I’m sure I could, but I usually have neither the time or the extra cookware to do something like that.

I did make the cheese sauce for that mac and cheese I posted here a while ago, but that whole thing takes me like an hour and a half using only the two big eyes I have on my stove.

One of the first meals I prepared for my then girlfriend, now wife, was fettuccine Alfredo. She said that meal sealed the deal.

Tonight I’m working on a large batch of Thai peanut sauce stir fry with chicken. I decided to try making the peanut sauce myself, so we’ll have to see how that turns out. I invited more family over so I have enough test subjects.

So I have been jonesing for some pulled pork but didn’t want to buy a butt or shoulder roast as it’s just my wife and I. So, sirloin pork roast was on sale for $1.98 LB, I bought one that was 1 1/2 lbs and crock potted it over night. Pulled it this morning, making some into BBQ and some into a taco variation.

Wagyu scat is an acceptable alternative.

I have a pork butt in my freezer that I will smoke sometime this spring. I usually end up vacuum ceiling and freezing, at least half of it. Comes out pretty well that way.

OK I went the easy route and fried the shredded pork until it was crisp, added black beans and corn, and then just salsa and avocado on top for a street taco.

Looks awesome. My only complaint is that…if that were my plate, you need to triple that portion.
