BBQ, it’s on…
My Wife made dinner tonight.
Should have a warning in the title… Food porn thread alert!
I roasted up some spicy chicken thighs… I’d share a photo but they are long gone!
Pastrami sandwiches
Steak Fajitas is probably my favorite dinner of all time. If I could have that for supper every night for the rest of my life I would die a happy man.
Bastard
At least I get some hand dipped ice cream for desert.
They don’t call me Charlie 2 scoops for nothin.
Kinda like Charlie 2 Lines
That’s my hero right there.
My wife can’t find the kitchen with a map.
LOL. I had to learn to cook for myself …in days before teh internet. My mom thought it was time to take food out of the oven when the smoke detectors went off. My dad grilling and/or cooking was an extreme rarity.
I pretty much used the force enough to learn some stuff, but I’m not anywhere near the master some of you cats are.
I LOVE Grilling pineapple to put in the steak fajitas though.
My wife is an amazing cook, mainly from scratch.
we have four kids 18-29 early on she taught all of them to cook from scratch as well. Typically when they lived at home the three oldest would cook dinner 4nights a week and she would take care of the other three. This started when they were 13yrs old, her point, I am not your servant you will do your own laundry and meals.
Me, I sit down and eat and when my daughter and wife get into what would have made their prepared meal better “discussion” I leave. No win situation there. Wife and only daughter, Ray Romano lessons learned.
Since I am the primary cook for my family, I constantly have these conversations with myself. I am always looking to make the meal better next time. Even when a meal comes out good, there’s always improvements that could be made. I am traveling for work over the next couple of days and made Greek chicken and rice for my wife and daughter to eat while I’m away. I marinated the chicken last night in olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon, garlic, oregano and other spices and cooked it up this morning. I’ll tell you it’s better than I get in most Greek restaurants. I do admit though, I buy the Toom garlic paste from Costco. I can make it, but the Costco brand is pretty good.
I have 2 daughters and they learned to cook from their mother. In other words they have been out to eat more in their lifetime than I have in mine.
My Wife is amazing. I talk a lot of shit but I can honestly say that I have woke up for 30+ years completely in love with the same woman. I wouldn’t trade her for all the money in the world.
But the Woman can’t cook a lick…
Well, I can say since the boys have moved out and working full time they eat more pizza than cook now days. They talk about wanting to cook more but just don’t feel like it…
