Remember when we convinced ourselves that Chris Cash, Andre Goodman and Blue Adams was a good group of CBs? Those were the days.

Cash, the 6th Rd pick with 4.50 speed and a Rakestraw type body, outplayed Goodman by a mile. But, as a I recall, he had an Achilles injury and was pretty much done.

Goodman had straight line speed. Ask him to run with Randy Moss on a long route, he could run stride for stride with him. Ask him to cover anyone on crossing routes or slants and he couldn’t cover anyone because for all his long speed, he lacked short area quickness.

To be fair, that’s one of the better groups we’ve had.
