Hard to defend the Hockinson pick at this point, he will never live up to his draft status and the defense is one of the worst in the league.
I disagree on Davis. He played well in our scheme last year down the stretch. His play was a large reason the Lions defense did so well against the run. He has sideline to sideline range and can rush the passer. He’s playing hurt right now and until he gets healthy fans will be hard on him. But I think Davis fits our scheme and brings a lot to the table.
Davis is not a problem. He was never a cover LB at Florida. He’s a downhill kind of player with good instincts. He should be in Christian Jones’ spot. To me, the problem is Kennard. He’s getting no pressure, at all. Where is he? Davis is playing out of position. Tavai was drafted to take his spot. Scheming on 3rd down seems to be an issue.
