Realistically best player for the team, that I think may be there.

DT Derrick Harmon.

I have to be honest.

I do NOT want the Lions to draft Travis Hunter. I loved watching him in college but man he smells like he has a huge bust factor riding with him. He is skinnier than Rakeshaw. So I am not sure how he holds up on defense. And I am not sure he has the polish to play WR in the NFL. Plus he is projected as more of an off CB and not a hard core Man cover corner.

I would love Graham from UM. Love his motor. I do not see how he drops far enough for the Lions to make a play for him but stranger things have happened. This draft is going to be bananas. I have seen a guy like Shedur Sanders projected as high as number 1 and as low as 6ish or even saw one where I think he was maybe 12th? Same with a Travis Hunter.

So there is hope Graham drops.

I am wondering if Grant is as good? Higher ceiling but also lower floor? What is the difference between the 2 in general. Where are all my UM slappies?

OK I have also watched some tape on Jackson out of Arkansas. I do love that he can play anywhere along the line. I like him also.

Of course Carter but he is going top 5 for sure. And could be number 1. He is one of the players that is for sure top 5. No one has him outside of that window.

I personally prefer Hunter at WR, but I think he’ll be a star either way.

Of course there’s about a 0% chance we’re able to draft him, so it’s moot for us anyway.

If Mykel Williams hits his ceiling, I’ll say him.

For the record I used to believe that a dominating DE is the best way. But now feel like pressure up the middle can be a more consistent defensive weapon. Like you do not have to get home to disrupt the passing game. So pressures up the middle are more effecting than pressures from DE.

Listen I think the Lions go a bit more traditional with this draft in that they go for dudes on both sides of the line. But I do not feel like they are in a hard core need positionally. Injuries caused all the issues last season. Not the overall talent or a lack of play makers on the team.

I just want them to draft the best player. If the edge is the next Maxx Crosby, take him. If the DT is the next Donald, take him. If the CB is the next Revis, take him. If the iOL is the next Steve Hutchinson, take him. Obviously those names are exaggerated for effect, but they get the idea across.

Talk to me about Grant verses Graham.

In general does Grant have more ceiling but also a lower floor? I watch as little UM as possible… :smiling_imp: But what I saw of Graham I loved. I just did not focus on Grant at all.

Graham wont be there at 28th, but grant could be. There isn’t a ton of players that i actually like this besides the top 15 kids, its kind of dual draft

I realize.

I want an opinion on Grant because well everyone says the Lions will not be able to grab Graham.

Can someone please enlighten me…

I’d salivate at the thought of a Steve Hutchinson level guard lining up next to Sewell. That would be Walter Jones/Steve Hutchinson 2.0

If our coaching staff can unlock grants potential and consistently he would be a monster.

This is my thought on JTT. I think this staff and Hutch is exactly what he needs.

Really? He was a dud at MSU then had a decent season at Oregon. Besides, some cats aren’t mature enough to play in there hometown imo. I hope I’m wrong tho

So high ceiling but might need some technique work. And maybe needs to mature a bit.

I mean at the bottom of the 1st round you can either have high ceiling athlete that needs to work or a football layer that is light on athletic ability. But you rarely get athletic and football player. Which still begs the question how in blazes did BB drop to the 2nd round? And why did GB (who needed a safety) basically give him to the Lions?

He really became a different guy after he lost the weight. I’d say his season at Oregon was more than decent. I also haven’t heard anything about maturity issues, but you’re the 2nd MSU fan to mention them?
