With the 5th pick in the draft

I trade back for the 10th spot (and a Day 2 pick).

1:10 - A.J. Epenesa (DE)
2:35 - Shaun Wade (CB)
2:43 - J.K. Dobbins (RB).

The NFL has a serious referee problem. And I’m just not talking the Lions. Its a crisis for the league IMO. Its starting to turn me off because the flags are ruining game play.

Everyone is getting upset that we keep drafting in the middle of the draft though.

Quinn would never trade up and draft a superstar like a Chase Young.

I dont think so either. However dropping to 10th might not net us the defensive playmaker that we so desperately need.

If Stafford misses more than 3 games the #2 pick is on the table

Thats high enough for chase young.

Sweet we traded down.

Your not the only one. Personally fans have been voicing their displeasure for years. The League thinks their product is too strong to worry about the fans. At one time baseball was America’s sport. Personally I think football is far more fragile than Baseball.

Baseball had a cool niche as America’s pass time. That’s about it. Its clear when you compare the two sports, football is America’s sport. I’m not sure what the numbers say…but my gut says that basketball has passed baseball as well.

Not even close. Baseball is alive and well In both the pros and minors. It’s a wholesome game. Easy for kids to follow. It has strong participation at youth levels.

Football can’t keep a minor league. Or Europe. Participation and attendance is down from kids to college and the pros. Coaches don’t even know what a completion or pass interference is any more. Fans struggle to follow rules that are constantly changing. Concussion scares are really hurting youth and HS football. The NFL really needs to step back and realize they have a ton of damage control to fix.

And yet, even with a fraction of the games played…the NFL makes BILLIONS more money per year than the MLB.

Right now yes. But at one time it was the opposite. Baseball lost fans due to corruption.

Much of what hurt baseball is the same that’s hurting the NFL today and the NFL doesn’t have the youth growth to overcome it.

Right now the NFL is the only pro sports showing fewer viewership. If this continues than future TV contracts will be negotiated for less. It can snowball quickly on them.

Keep in mind NFL ratings are down and declining. NFL attendance is down and declining. NFL viewership stayed up due to the introduction of live streaming games. The NFL Is on track for Lower viewership heading into the future. That effects their lucrative TV contracts and sponsorships. Once the scale tips it’s gonna get ugly for them. It’s been leaning since 2009 and most think the NFL is close to a market crash.

The only sport where ratings are up is the NBA.

Ratings for TV is down period but NFL games still are the highest rated programs on TV.

Exactly.

The ship has sailed with baseball. The country is different than it used to be. It will never become the king of the hill in sports viewership again. The games are too long, there are too many of them and it doesn’t have enough action for the typical person anymore.

Soccer is the world’s most popular sport. It murders the NFL globally. But it struggles to get a good grip in America no matter how much they try. The typical American is simply wired different. Football may lose its crown to basketball some day. But it sure as hell won’t lose it to baseball.

The NBA had one or two legitimate white American superstars it would pass the NFL overnight.

It’s not racism either people like to relate to athletes who look like them and come from similar backgrounds.

Luka Doncic is so damn good and a joy to watch he might do it anyway

You come from a similar background as Doncic?
