There’s an ESPN article out right now that listed trades that teams could make and whatever, and there was one where Charles Harris went to the Chiefs for a 6th rounder and another 6th rounder next year.
Personally, I wouldn’t, because I think Harris gives us more impact in the future than those pick ever could.

No way. Resign the guy. He’s been one of our best 5 or so players IMO.
Those articles are the worst. I saw another one that listed Trey Flowers as someone the Lions could trade, while also saying that his contract makes him untradeable.
I would not have traded him before Okwara got placed on IR - But now that we have a big hole at de/lb why not create a second one. Makes perfect sense - While we are it maybe we could throw in Penie and get it boosted to a 5th rounder 
The only way we could trade Flowers is if we were willing to pay about 60% of his salary and even that might not get it done. Flowers is getting paid like he’s a 3 time NFL all pro, and playing like a slightly above average starter who misses more games than he plays.
National media’s only article on the Lions is suggesting we trade one of our best defensive players for bottom shelf magic beans—glad to see we’ve graduated from national joke to feeder team status.
I would prefer to re-sign him.

My initial reaction was that he would likely fetch the Lions a better comp pick than that suggested trade offer… but… I am guessing Lions will be spending some cash in free agency this year and that would offset any departures. No comp picks expected in 2023.
Would you trade Matt Nelson ?
Matt Nelson has done a great job transitioning from defense to offense. I think he could actually be a solid RT in the future. So I think we have a great OT in Decker, an emerging star in Sewell, and a solid OT who has some potential. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nelson traded.
We also have Crosby, who at one time looked like a solid player.
Nelson has been okay. He should continue to improve, he’s only played o-line for 2 seasons. With Goff at QB, we could have Hall of Famers at both tackle spots and he’d still throw a 1 yard checkdown or throw it out of bounds on 4th down. lol
It’s not uncommon for pass rushers to take a bit to find their footing. Combine that with him perhaps being misused earlier in his career and the fact that AG seems to have identified the proper role and I think there is a reasonable likelihood that he can offer durable 8-10 sack per year production as a specialist. Kind of like our Mario Addison though their games are a bit different.
I would trade Matt Nelson for a 6th end of year. Right now? Probably boy. Jared will get killed.
I’m not looking for him to be killed, but if he was injured, would that really be such a bad thing right now? We have scored 0 points in 3 of 6 games in the 1st half. 0 points.

Apparently the national media expects us to take it in the analzone with some of these trade ideas.
Simple. Go to him now and see if you can lock him down for a few years. He’s a good situational pass rusher deserving of a roster spot. If he’ll take that kind of money then cool. If he wants big money, sorry he’s not a full time guy. If you are going to have to overpay him, then absofreakinglutely get some magic beans for him. We are zooming towards a terrible record. We are not playing for this year. I’m sick of just losing guys and not getting squat for them. Either sign them or get beans for them. Don’t thank them for their top 15 at the position play in a meaningless year and watch them leave.
