It was looooud
Arnold is a solid pick at a need positionā¦ and heās a clear 1st round corner from a premier program. Itās solid. I just thought with the depth at the positionā¦ we could have stayed and taken a guy like Wiggins and still had a 3rd to add to our depth. Im not super happy, but Iām not like upset either.
Pissing contest? Calm down killer, I made one response to him, lmao.
Terrion is not Jeff Okudah because he is better in short areas than Jeff was. Jeff was long legged and high hipped. Terrions longer speed is a question mark and he grabs and panics at the catch point when the ball is thrown at times. That is a potential issue in Ags man coverage he favors. I dont dislike the player and i have said that but looking at the board that was there and we traded up 5 spots and gave up a future starter? Its very questionable to me and for any draft follower. We have longer term concerns and those 3rds we gave up could really have built up our depth and future. That is my argument. And I need to see a significant difference in our defensive PPG given up. Now maybe are gonna run more cover 2/tampa 2? Terrion would be perfect for that.
I guess the Lions scouting dept, didnāt watch this LSU gameā¦Why didnāt tell them about it? You manage to tell us almost a half dozen times now.
Ask @Thats2 . He seems to be your go-to. And he hasnt really disagreed with me. You guys act like I dont like Terrion. I just question the value of a CB in todays nfl. Especially one that runs a 4.51. And one that is being grabs and panics at the catch point. And he is being put into Ags preferred scheme?
From our draft crush thread: 2024 Draft Crush Thread - #490 by Thats2
CB: Terrion Arnold (Davicus, Tucker, HSVLion)
I mean watson can run right by him if ag wants to cover 0. Maybe we are just gonna play zone? If so then top safeties are more important.
If i could build a perfect tampa 2 and rotate to disguised cover 3 and 4? There isnt a team in todays nfl that could beat it.
Hey! We learn though! All it took was the greatest Lions season ever.
Especially one that runs a 4.51. And one that is being grabs and panics at the catch point.
Thatās what YOU see. Itās not what I see. Itās not what Lance Zierlein sees. Itās not what Greg Cosell sees. Itās not what Dane Brugler sees.
Itās not what Brad Holmes sees.
Lets see the PPG differential. Lets justify this trade up. My only issue.
No long-term answers at OT, OG, OC, DE/EDGE, WR.
We were looking at a top board to trade down and add more picks and solidify this teams depth with very good players.
Is he worth it? Prove youāre worth yourself and a future starter. And we will see how his grabbing works out when he cant look for the ball. Check the Kentucky, or it might have been Duke, game. Cant turn your head? Just grab jersey? Thats all.
Love the player but Brad Holmes got taken for going up 5 picks in the mid 20s and gave up a top 75 pick to do it. He threw all draft charts out the window on that.

If all we had to give up was a 3rd to get Terrion Arnold itās a steal.
Doesnāt matter where we ended up taking him at.
Bradās a good GM but heās probably not very good at Poker.
It cost a third to get the best CB in the draft.
The days of QBs like Nick Focking Mullens throwing for 400 yards on us are over!
I never thought the Lions had a realistic shot at Arnold. As he kept slipping, I just kept thinkingā¦ Bradās gonna trade up, right? Heās gotta trade up. Terrion ticks every box the Lions look for in a football player and a DB.
Wow didnāt watch the draft, but we ended getting Arnold which is freaking awesome. Canāt believe him and Mitchell fell to the 20s. Great job BH.
