2019 RB unit. RUSHING

Our lead RB is getting 15-20 touches a game in the run game and 3-5 in the passing game. He has the potential to have a greater impact on wins than any other position we draft outside of QB. So I’d say it’s very wise. Acres wise even … lol

Mouse, KJ has been playing for us for two seasons & in back to back seasons SO FAR , has not proven he can stay/remain healthy…WHICH reduces HIS OA production and help for the team…KJ must prove he can last a season OR the vast majority of it or one. IF he doesn’t, all he’s shown is he cannot stay healthy and isn’t THEE answer/solution. IF he does last a season or more than half, you can say “ok” he’s earned another shot …maybe.

BO, came along, and he didn’t turn in a full season either, and missed MORE games than did KJ…that is not a good sign THUS FAR. we magically /somehow ranked 11th-best offense with the other remaining scraps at RB and Stafford himself who played HALF a season as well. If you ask me the league was being generous/kind with that ranking.

You have to understand that our best RB barely made 400 yards…we had (6) GD RB’s and ALL together they totaled 1,313 yards and 6 rushing TD’s.

11th -best is Average to Serviceable AT BEST. IF your in a race, you sure as hell don’t want to be 11th. but that we have 20 + teams all together in the race. to put it mildly , @ RB we are hanging on to average by a thread. I would hope that you would want better. Keep in mind , that I said and believe that the league “was being kind” to us when our Starting QB missed half the season along with or top 2 starting RB’s…that tells me they factored in passing yards MORE than rushing production.

LOL, how’d you know?

Dillon and Gibson seem like intriguing late round potential if RB in round two doesn’t work; Gibson weight at 230 with a sub 4.4/40, sheesh.

I’m glad you brought up Gibson. I like him but I do not see him as being a viable RB option. More like a gadget player type. He could develop into a viable receiving back but I think he’s more of a developmental type. However he brings home run threat ability. He could be a late round steal.

I just read about Josh Garnett and he appears to be a great run blocker (has issues in pass pro). The same has been said about Big V. Getting guys like this makes me think we want to be able to run more. Makes sense to get a better than average running back.

I am a Dobbins fan but if we get Taylor I will be extremely happy they at least made a real effort to improve the run game. Later picks generally get you the TY Johnsons of the world.

let’s face it Kerryon was not the cream of the 2018 class. He was slightly above mediocre and according to Draftwire was the 8th rated back…3 spots above Bo. The guys ranked lower really haven’t done shit.

well give me a back that plays all season, you can’t continuously play 6-8 games and be the guy here.

FYI lions meet with Moss a second time.
