That first play by Green against Oklahoma is great to see from a DB. A lot of CBs are making the business decision and just getting out of the way there. Plays like that will get him bonus points from our staff.
As I mentioned in the fall there was plenty of talk on Noles boards that he was their best defensive player. Though I that was in terms of 2023 as opposed to projecting him to the next level. Still a nice complement given all the talent they had on defense. Dude can play for sure.
Between him and Stiggers and Jackson and Harden there are some really good (and IMO ready to play) CBs in that late day 2 early day 3 range.
I’ve been taking Green at 61 or 73 and Stiggers at 91 more and more often. You can always get him there on the sims (actually one has him ranked REALLY high, like in the 2nd round, but the rest don’t), though like you I suspect he’ll go day 2 on draft day.
The draft community is vastly underrating the CFL as a proving ground.
Do you think Harden goes in the 4th or 5th round with those short arms and a huge step up in competition? I want him ignored until #247 which is now #249. I’m probably dreaming again.
I keep on taking him in my mocks albeit later than where he’s going to get drafted most likely (which is probably mid to late 2nd). Usually what I end up asking myself is “why take Kamari in the 1st when I can get Renardo later?” It’ll be interesting to see where he gets drafted.
I think that might be the only way to get him is by trading up because I just find it less and less likely that he’ll fall to us at 61. Don’t know how much we’re undervaluing/overvaluing him though compared to NFL scouting/personell guys though.
There were some fears he would be too slow, but he quashed those concerns with his testing and man work at the Shrine Bowl. My concern was that he would be slot only, but he measured in much larger than I thought he would be. That’s when my interest turned into a crush.
