Does it figure in our two new third rounders for the coaches we will lose?

Assuming heatlh after the 2023 season among the skill players, the Lions can just sprinkle in one here or there on day 3. Grab some talented kid who fell too far.

But we should be able to go back to focusing on the trenches and backfilling some guys and continuing to build depth there.

A lot of pundits were up in arms about Gibbs because they felt we missed on a d line player or CB.

Well, Holmes inherited some nice talent on the OL, added Sewell (and now Colby). On the DL he has been very busy on draft day, Hutch, Houston, Paschal, MacNeill among others. And he added 3 talented vets at CB in free agency.

Adding in offensive skill players like Gibbs, Laporta and Hooker this year are just the finishing touches to a complete roster. Now they can go back to the trenches. This is how you build a perennial winner.

I hate JJ McCarthy….only because I’m a Notre Dame guy and JJ has even played against my Irish…but that being said, he’s an awesome player IMO. JJ is freaking Josh Allen to me!

He’s got a lot of Aaron Rodgers swag to his game

Tyler Durden

He turns the ball over too much for me to think of him as Rodgers. And I admit I’m probably only judging that by the TCU game. But the two pick-sixes is more like Josh than it would ever be Rodgers….but the play-making could be Rodgers-like, but Rodgers won’t get the rushing yards that JJ & Josh does
