Sorry, what? Ragnow has already said he isn’t retiring, and yes I get his toe injury will linger but he has said he has learned to play through it.
From the blog
The positions that Brad Holmes and his staff are expected to be addressing are the interior offensive line, primarily center, as they expect to be without Frank Ragnow as he teeters on his future.
Ragnow is completely a problem. You can not expect him to just keep playing through this injury and pain. If they can get a starter level now then do it and have them play G while learning the line calls. It is the smart move IMO.
I don’t disagree on drafting a C/OG at all, need too, for the OG spot and too take over for FR. But teetering, meh little over the top for me.
Oh yes I agree. Frank the Tank is not going down without a fight. He has said he wants to honor his contract. I do not know when this one ends but I am assuming when it ends he retires. He then gets his toe removed and starts coaching (I joke about the toe). But I do wonder what the guy can do to get that thing fixed. And maybe using his foot like a normal Joe is all it requires?
You think he didn’t already cut off the toe!? That’s cute ![]()

Why do you think coach Campbell keeps talking about guys with 3 toes? Lol
Frank will be back for the 2024 season. I fully expect him to retire after that. His contract runs thru 2026 and I can not see him getting that far. That means even in my wildest imagination he only makes it 2 more seasons. Its time to look for the next man up. Play him at guard early on, just like we did with Frank.
