***2025 Official Den Mock Draft Contest***

Welcome to the Den’s Annual Mock Draft Contest. Sorry for the late start, but better late than never!

Cut and paste here and fill out your picks in a reply, if you make trades modify so round and pick number is reflected (but remember only seven picks count):

  • Round 1, (No. 28):
  • Round 2, (No. 60):
  • Round 3, (No. 102):
  • Round 4, (No. 130):
  • Round 6, (No. 196) :
  • Round 7, (No. 228) :
  • Round 7, (No. 244) :

The Goal:

Predict the 7 players the Detroit Lions will draft in 2025 - including round and pick number (if possible). Trades are allowed, but each participant may only submit 7 total picks.

Scoring System = Base Points x Multiplier

Base Points** (Per Pick):

10 points – Correct player and exact draft slot (round & pick)
7 points – Correct player and correct round, but wrong slot
4 points – Correct player, but wrong round entirely
2 points – Correct position in the round, wrong player
0 points – No match at all

Round Difficulty Bonus:

To reward the harder later-round guesses, each pick gets a multiplier based on its round:

Round Multiplier
Round 1 x1.0
Round 2 x1.1
Round 3 x1.2
Round 4 x1.3
Round 5 x1.4
Round 6 x1.5
Round 7 x1.6

Example:
If you get a 6th-round pick exactly right → 10 pts × 1.5 = 15 points
If you get a 2nd-round player but wrong slot → 7 pts × 1.1 = 7.7 points

Rules Recap:

  • You can predict any seven picks the Lions make.
  • You may assume trades, but your points only depend on who is picked and when.
  • Submissions are final once the draft begins!

Tiebreakers:

  1. Most Exact Matches (10-point base hits)
  2. Most Round Matches (7-point base hits)
  3. Highest single pick score (with multiplier applied)
  4. Whoever has the least amount of hair

***Please don’t gum up the thread. I’ll make a discussion thread. Just put your picks in and any comments with one reply.

Mods @Nate @Weaselpuppy I would appreciate a pin, thanks!

EDIT: Made some changes before tomorrow. I want to be more realistic, but this is a really hard draft to predict. BH doesn’t reach for need, and he’s aggressive with trades, but it’s too hard to predict it so I’m keeping it more simple.

Hmmm… feels suspicious.

Why? Just because you have guys like WInston , Grant, Gray, Horton as round 1/2 guys doesn’t mean that’s where they will be drafted.

And I put Sweschinger in round 7 because he’s my favorite player in the draft, one of them. It’s basically a punt he WILL not get drafted there.

So it’s an advantage to you not me.

I’m just talking about Schwesinger in the 7th.

Honestly someone would probably score pretty high if they just put Stewart, Mykel, Harmon, Zabel, Donovon Jackson, JTT, Booker as their 7 picks. Probably won’t get extra points for getting the round right, but will get something for the player.

IDK last year they had Vaki and Manu because they raided the visits list.

I just pick my guys.

I always do.

I’m not saying you don’t. Really it was just about you having a guy picked in a round he has no chance of going. And it was only the one, I concede the range on Horton is really wide.

It was him or Lahontay Wester.

Lahjontay could go undrafted and we still get him.

Schwesinger will get drafted.
