If he keeps this up when does he get the call? May?
They will probably take it a little slower with Clark. His approach is good but not nearly as good as McG. It has to be tempting though when you see what Clark is doing and then see what Meadows is doing.

I think it also depends on a few factors in Detroit.
How well Meadows plays, specifically how well he does at the plate.
How well does the offense do as a whole in Detroit?
Clark has had some struggles occasionally at the plate, if he does well for two months in AAA then your timeline makes sense.
Yet, team will want to play Clark everyday once he comes up as it does no good to make him the backup. He needs the at bats which is why I wouldn’t be shocked if he stays in AAA longer than we think, unless injuries happen in Detroit
If he does come up in June July you trade Meadows or Baez or cut Baez if he isn’t playing well.
W Perez is also hitting very well in Toledo, doing his best to force the issue.

I remember when we drafted Jacobs. Alot if people thought he had first round talent and we got him in the third round. Our scouting department is so dang good.

I like what I have seen so far. I think he spends all year in the minors and gets a shot next year.Unless Tork goes down or struggles.

No I agree it does depend on call some of the guys are playing on the big Club. And it really forces the question of is there enough value to Javy to keep him? For a team that isn’t as deep he makes sense as a defensive guy but like AJ says this is a difficult team to make and it’s just going to keep getting harder with all the guys coming up.
The contract should just not even be seen it should be can this guy contribute enough to Warrant the roster spot over clark or Perez and eventually next year briceno.
Is this a better team with Clark and Perez over Jones and Javy?
Maybe but I think they don’t like having just two guys able to play shortstop if that’s the case. I still think Perez is a trade chip and him getting off to a hot start is a benefit towards that
