So the NFL is planning having 9!!! International games in 2026.
So far only 7 have been announced.
Brazil, Mexico City, Paris, Germany, Sydney, England x2.
Now doing some digging. I have not yet found what the other two games may be, but doing research I have figured out what the teams may be and what are the likely dates.
I feel very confident about the dates across the board. Based on what dates and weeks the game historically have fallen on.
DETROIT WONT BE A HOME GAME. Based on my research.
Atlanta, and Detroit were BOTH informed they are playing overseas less than 24 hours after the Germany game announcement. Detroit plays AT Atlanta in 2026. Also Atlanta and Detroit both have a Marketing deal in Germany.
Notice: No week 1 Friday game. Because the season starts later. Because of the Sports broadcast law. NFL isn’t allowed to broadcast games Friday 6pm or later and Saturday at all. From the 2nd Friday in September to the 2nd Saturday in December.
Which causes an issue with the Sydney Australia game. Sydney is 16 hours AHEAD of eastern time. Meaning if the game is Sunday Night. It would be Noon Monday in Australia. Cant have a game Monday at noon. So the only days that the game could realistically be played on is Friday or Saturday night. Meaning the earliest is Week 15. The 3rd Saturday in December.
Every other game falls on the historic data other than Brazil. Which will likely be a MNF game like Mexico has been
