Marty you can buy as many 5 starsyou want, but if you don’t have the coach to make them a team you’re not winning ish. Look at Kentucky for like ever with Pitino. They had like 10 5 stars and rarely did anything once it was tourney time. I said you can buy players, but not a team. I didn’t say anything about using the portal or not.

I mean, if the portal didn’t exist, I suppose they would have had to recruit other players to play on the team. I don’t think Dusty May only coaches because there is a portal.
Dude you guys are missing the point. Ive always been against it buying players, but its part of the game now, and its smart. Im not taken away anything at all. Izzo is done in mine, he hasn’t learned by now he should hit the road jack .

Without a doubt, NIL/Portal is the reason this Michigan team is as good as they are this year. Also, Michigan has gone to two other national championship games since 2000 that had nothing to do with NIL.
Michigan can be good anyway they want to be.
