Sam Presti might be the best GM of all time in any sport. Perhaps some luck involved but the pipeline of talent he has built up with the war chest of picks still at his disposal is simply unfair.
I wouldn’t. They are the betting favorite and I think that is totally fair but I think there are at least five uber-elite teams. Michigan, AZ, Duke, Iowa St. and UCONN. Purdue and Houston are likely to be right there as well.
if I was forced to pick one I would go with Michigan but I’d easily take the field of the other elite four over Michigan.
It’s also matchup related. I think a team like Florida for instance would give Michigan problems bc they can neutralize/matchup their front court talent.
This, and I also have to wonder if Michigan is peaking right now.
I think they’re obviously very very good, and can definitely win a national championship, but beating everyone by 20+ is just hard to do over the course of the entire season. There’s a reason there hasn’t been a team to go completely undefeated in a very long time (if at all).
Maybe. How good USC is remains to be seen. They’ve still yet to play or beat anyone of consequence. I’d expect Michigan to blow them out as well. Probably more like 25-30 points.
