3 Reasons Piston fans should actually tune in this season

Entertaining game so far…
Hardaway 4-7 on 3pt shots
Cade leading scorer for Detroit with 21

Hopefully Bickerstaff can instill some defensive presence.

Ivey and Cade taking over the last few minutes
Interesting to me is that through 3qtrs Stewart has only played 13min

I don’t think I’ve ever seen too many players on the court called before.

That was wild, I almost turned the volume on, then realized, no, that’s actually a reason to turn it off.

A technical foul and loss of the ball? Seems like a pretty harsh infraction.

Completely shit the bed. Same problem as last year…no one can hit an open shot when it counts.

TBH, I expected a loss looking at who they were playing although still almost 2m to go. Only down 4 but a missed rebound and now a foul on the 3pt shot by Duren silly foul by him…
Some things to like from what I saw.

Pacers are a good team

Pistons up 10 going into the 4th

Lose by ???

Gonna be a long season boys

We let them off the hook a little bit. We need to stop drafting slashers and start drafting some shooters. Stewart should never have the ball in his hands outside of the box again. If he jacks up one triple we should cut off one of his fingers. Harris missed three pretty wide open triples in the last 2 minutes.

Troy Weaver is very close to Scott Fitterer territory for how bad of a GM he was

I agree. Their drafting hadn’t been good. I had to watch Orlando blow draft after draft until they started getting it right

He might be the worst shooting guard in the history of the league.

LOL another L for the “Pissed-Ins”!!

0-82 until proven otherwise!!!

(I am a very very depressed Pistons fan)

Welp, that pretty much played out like that…SloMo Grant Hill comes alive and the rest of the team takes the 2nd half off

Pacers are legit, I’m a Pacers fan, so bias, but they were really good last year and that was without Mathurin. I think Mathurin has All-Star potential, but because of his injury last year and depth we have, he’s coming off the bench. I wouldn’t read too much into this loss as a Pistons fan, the Pacers seem to have your number.

It’s the same old team. Be competitive for 3 quarters then get curb stomped in the 4th when the opposition starts taking the game seriously. The Pistons have one of the worst “best” players in the league. Cade is an ok player but most teams have better top end players and that’s why the Pistons always fall short in crunch time.

Small blurb from am article, bold by me

But, for what’s it’s worth, I can’t recall a stretch of defense like the Pistons showed against Indiana in the first four minutes of the season. Not in a long time, anyway.

Certainly not all of last year, or even the year before.

Against last season’s most efficient offensive team, the Pistons’ new starting five played as if there was thought put into why they were on the floor together.

They talked. They were physical. They even rotated.

Imagine that.

====================

It looked new. It felt different. Mostly because it’s been forever since professional-looking basketball has been played in these parts … by the home team, at least.

Truth. As long as they try to build around Cade, they are going nowhere.

Another truth. But it went away quickly.
