3 rookies make Red Wings 23-man roster, Mo & Raymond given the "A"s

Season starts in a couple days.

20-year-old Emmitt Finnie (7th round, 2023) will be playing on the first line with Larkin and Raymond. 20-year-old Michael Brandsegg-Nygård (1st round, 2024) is slated to join the 3rd line with Copp and Compher. And 20-year-old Axel Sandin-Pellikka (1st round, 2023) will paired with Simon Edvinsson.

The Yzerman guys are finally starting to break into the lineup. Finnie had 4 points in 7 games, despite only playing 14 minutes a game in the preseason. MBN tied for the league lead in preseason goals (4) and points (7). ASP was #2 on the Wings in TOI for the Wings behind only Seider and also had 4 points. Still so much talent heading to GR, too.

Wings are also ending the stupid practice of rotating alternate captains. Seider and Raymond will be wearing the "A"s permanently from here on out.

Would really like to see Seider get a real partner. I’d much prefer AlJo with him instead of Ben. That Edvinsson-ASP combo though…chefs kiss

Looking forward to Thursday night. The young guys are starting to knock on the door, and some of them are kicking it wide open.

Was impressed with two other young guys got to see in person that I don’t see on this roster yet. Nate Danielson & Carter Bear both looked like they will be players. I think we also have a Russian Stud in the wings waiting for us to smuggle away from Putin that goes by Buch that should be joining within the next several years.

Now just need to get the goal tender thing sorted out. I’m not as high on Cossa as some (never impressed when I see him in person) pretty high on Augustine. Disclaimer: I know nothing about what it does/doesn’t take to be a good NHL goalie

I almost wonder if Nate would’ve made the team this year if not for injury. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make his way to the lineup at some point this year. Same with Mazur.
