I’ve always had an oversized interest in the players on the fringe of the Lions roster. If you searched Demetrius Taylor or AJ Parker on The Den, you’ll find a disproportionate number of posts were by me. Long shots and underdogs stir my imagination more than solid backups, the ones that make it at least. The clips on Hard Knocks of Dan breaking both the good and the bad news were intense.

We might have had 3 UDFAs on our roster too if Brad didn’t have standards and filled only 50 of the 53 slots at first.
