Not sure if this was posted anywhere yet but this is a cool interview… really looking forward to seeing this guy on Sundays (and thursdays and mondays).
I love that Brodric is motivated to prove he belongs.
He may never touch the level of Jalen Carter…
if Jalen Carter gets his act together….
but Brodric may also have a successful career as a space eater that is incredibly important to stop the run…. and I really like his attitude at this point of the process!!!
Interesting that said the Giants showed interest in taking him in the 3rd but after they traded up or out (???) he figured he’d have to wait until day 3. That’s when he left his room and got the call from Brad.
With his personality, if he’s good on Sundays (which obviously I think he will be because I started this thread and actually watched a lot of him), he’s going to be a rock star in this town.
If Holmes got me my DT in the THIRD, I’m going to be freakin’ the ■■■■ out!
I didn’t think there was anything that even resembled an option in this draft (outside of gambling on Carter).
Love this guy. Hope he is a really good one.
He got you your WR in the 4th, your S in the third and your LB in the 6th, didn’t he? Trust him, and trust me on this kid.
I didn’t know those guys were my guys though. They weren’t even on my wish list.
Sewell, Hutch, & Gibby were my guys…for sure.
Holmes takes my guys in the first every year so far. LOL
Granted…2 of 'em were “gimmies”
Which is fine. Just remember me on gameday when Broadway does something.
And yes, it’s still Broadway to me.
I saw that podcast yesterday and one question that they didn’t follow up on was “What other sports did you play?” Bro-Mart said that in high school he played football, basketball and…RAN track!! Did I hear that right? I’m guessing he wasn’t running the mile events.
I’m sorry, who?
Nope you heard it right. I thought the same thing like, “wait, Broadway ran track?”. Just a hell of an athlete back then I guess. And then he chose football.
Brodick. He does the three point stance a bit differently.
That almost flew right past me. I read it three times before it smacked me in the face.
.

His nickname at Western Kentucky was “The Tripod”
Some hefty fellas can really move!
I caught that too! I wanna know what he did… sprints? Was it track and field and he was the shot put guy? You’re absolutely right I would love to know what he did specifically in track
I assumed it was shot put or hammer, but I hope it turns out to be pole vault.
L.A. Rams → N.Y. Giants (D) . L.A. Rams traded a third-round selection (73rd) to N.Y. Giants in exchange for the Giants’ third- and fourth-round selections (89th and 128th).
Giants traded up for WR Jaylin Hyatt at No 73 (Toney’s replacement).
Good film review on him in today’s Detroit News.
overview/summary.
He reviewed several games with videos to back up the points below.
Three things he does well against the run:
-advanced active hand usage uses length to keep OL off him allowing him to shed and engage
- he keeps his head up and eyes in the backfield to diagnose play
- rarely misses a tackle he should make
-Struggles anchoring against dbl teams, doesn’t seem to be aware of the second blocker coming which allows him to be pushed out to clear a running lane.
-Inconsistent leverage
-logged more than 40 snaps in every game and occasional fatigue would show up.
-Bull rush is avg but should improve with NFL training/conditioning.
-Does show an explosive first step at times, some pass rush is there but inconsistent
-Too slow to run stunts better to hold point of attack for others and a tick off in recognizing screens
He summarized that BH stated they drafted BM for the player he can become not the player he is. Agnew added that the flaws mentioned can all be corrected with better coaching and conditioning/strength program in the NFL. That should lead to consistent or better leverage, a strong piece in short yardage defense and potential in pressuring the pocket from the middle.
What I find interesting about this tidbit is Dexter Lawrence is really the only other nose with Martin’s combination of size and reach. Lawrence is a more explosive athlete however.
