I have a customer with an office full of jocks, including some avid Lions fans. Not an effing peep about the Lions. Like, it’s just too embarrassing and painful to talk about them, even among other fans. Football conversations there are strictly fantasy-based.

He’s already tracking better than Millen. That’s how bad Millen was.
He’s not though, he’s won 18% of his games and is on pace to be Millen.
Millen won 2 games his first year. Campbell won 3.5. Dan would have to lose every game for the rest of the season to be worse than Millen.
There is a good chance he does.

if you had the greatest coaching staff here you ever seen , they would look ordinary here this season, because over half the team in 2022 was injured…once again our defense never showed up , Goff has problems playing in the second quarter…you’d be lucky to win 7 games.
Haven’t seen anything in the Detroit Free Press, the Athletic or anywhere about the horrible job the SOL do with halftime adjustments. Obviously, there’s game theory involved e.g. the opponent knows we ran the ball well, will adjust accordingly, but we know they will adjust so we change it up anticipating that, and so on, each team trying to outguess the opponent. The fact that we were outscored 35-0 the past two games says it all (and obviously earlier in the season no better). Anyone see any articles on this? I think this is one of the very telling things indicating that our coaching staff is simply not up to the job, and our head coach in particular I am sorry to say. I was drinking the Kool-Aid big-time, but look at what Bill Belichick does at halftime and…yeah enough said.
Miami’s coach did say after the game that they made several slight adjustments at the half and that’s how they came back.
Yes, this coaching staff struggles to adjust to the opposing team’s adjustments. When people complain that they get outcoached every week, this is why.
Campbell is still learning–hopefully he figures this one out quickly.
Kinda the opposite of the Caldwell-Stafford era when the Lions constantly fell behind and Stafford set a league record for comeback victories in a single season.

And your cherry picking trying to compare a coach to a GM and not just a GM but maybe the worst in NFL history to find a positive Lol. Patricia took over a 9 win team Homebell took over a 5 win team. Schwartz took over a 0 win team. And all have did better through the there first 25 games .
