Aiuyk isn’t realistic.
Cooper, Adams, Higgins maybe but author thinks three are more at the trade deadline type deal than now. and not sure how long they would be in Detroit as I don’t see Detroit paying out big dollars to them. Adams, isn’t he making a fortune right now?
Sutton, is probably the most realisitic of the group, how much does he have left?
Darius Slayton would be ideal
Terrence Marshall needs a change of scenery I could see him fitting in here nicely
If Michael Thomas wasn’t made of glass, I’d love to add him.
What’s needed is a mid level possession receiver. Doesn’t need to be a burner, just someone that moves the chains.A Tyler Boyd type.
I’d be open to David bell for a conditional 7th. I don’t think he moves the needle a ton but I think he could grow into a guy that we could “trust”.
He’s a guy that could move the chains for us on 3rd down
He will be 24 this season Marshall just turned 24 now.
Marshall wasn’t drafted by this organization in Carolina so I think he is the ideal dude for us to covet.
Played along side Chase & Jefferson in college
6’3 200
Id give a 7th for him
No chance Marshall passes our turd test. He literally quit on the LSU team his last season.
For sure plus he’s not very good at football.
We traded for DPJ.
We need him to come on. Not sure what’s going on with him, but, he is more than capable.
Maybe Skyy Moore or like a Quinton Johnston is available for a cheap price
I seem to vaguely recall something to the effect that he might not have even been on the Lions draft board.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all.
We were talking about Woods from Texans in the other thread
Here is his first down to catch ratio last 3 years on 3 dif teams
He gets a first down 2/3 of the time he catches last 3 seasons
Pretty good.
Reynolds was 80% for us last year
0-2 when we needed it most though
Marshall has gotten no traction over three seasons with the Panthers, due in large part to a bad situation (five different starting quarterbacks, three different head coaches and three different offensive coordinators). There have been no indications he has a bad attitude, and the latent tools he has (6-foot-2, 210 pounds, 4.38 40) are surely still in him at 24 years old.
The Panthers traded for Diontae Johnson, then they drafted Xavier Legette to further bolster their wide receiver group. The regime that took Marshall in the second round of the 2021 draft is gone, which fuels the idea of him as a trade candidate after he was given permission to seek a trade last year.
Cost is a natural consideration for any receiver the Lions might trade for. A deal for Marshall could add the condition he makes the roster, along with only requiring a late Day 3 draft pick.
It’s tough because we need a role player who is a good blocker that’s going to be happy doing the dirty work while getting 3-5 targets a game.
