Zero chance we sign Tavai. But credit to the guy, he has managed to have a decent career with the Pats. Got a second contract and even played in a super bowl. Hard to believe. With the Lions he was one of slowest linebackers I have ever seen.

Jones is worth a look. We were great against the run when he was here.
I dont see any CURRENT FAs getting added. I mean Decker is the top FA, that tells you the rest are bad!

- UFL Players (mid June)
- Cap Casualties all off season.
Maybe add some current UFAs before camp starts just to fill out the roster if theres injuries, just for a camp body

@LionFrog kind of agree with this. I think the difference between paying any of them above the minimum and what you would get for near the minimum a little later are negligible. Let’s see what happens after June 1.

I would not mind at all if Taylor Decker decided to rejoin for cheap. He’s still a FA and it doesn’t look like anyone is about to sign him for anything better.

I was so pumped when we drafted Kyle Van Noy. I wanted him at SAM rushing the QB. The staff punished him because he wasn’t coverbacker. Then he goes on to NE for peanuts and ends up having a pretty solid career. Weird NE / Lions thing with both Tavai and KVN. We came up on the short end of both straws.

Dan loved him and praised what a hard worker he was. He just didn’t beat out the other LB’s at the time. I can’t see us signing him now.
