It’s possible, but the technology of this forum software we use sort of replicates that experience already without the clunkiness of java. The draft thread, for example, had people responding/typing live (which is visible in the bottom of the page). The days of the AOL-style chat are behind us (thank God).
That does remind me of the time we had Mike Utley on this site for a live java chat … not sure how many of you were around for that.

been here since the early 2000’s -so i dunno. yeah I am aware the timeline sez different, that is because we kept moving over time and I lost my original join date in those moves.
