I mentioned this on the game thread. Team beat themselves but its also part of the game.
That’s what I see too man… Clean up some stuff, and we win by three touchdowns
Let the old line gel a little bit
The one big positive for me is that we kept a bunch of young unknowns on our final 53 and most of them got a chance to contribute and most all of them looked good for their experience levels. Lots to be excited about with the youth on this team. Especially on defense.
there was a pivot by Shep? I missed it.
Didnt gibs run left once and score or am I misremembering that?
Tyleik had a nice spin as well to get pressure that nobody is speaking of.
He had a cutback to the left at the goal line, play looked to be designed to go to the right
I meant in general not just in this one game.
I am of the believe Jamo is a confidence player. If he makes a mistake early, it gets in his head. We need to get him an easy end-around or bubble screen to get him going. I think back to the NFCCG when he was our best player, that end around is what set him on his way imo.
Definitely seems that way. Gets down on himself if he makes a mistake. But this is year 5, he aint a kid anymore. We need him to put his big boy pants on. Can’t be having the young player mistakes and inconsistencies anymore.
For the record, I predicted he would have 1400 yards this year and I still think it happens.
I agree, but it’s a personality type. If we know it about him and can do something about it, we should.
Last year we hit him with some pretty simple crossing routes and he could YAC teams. Never saw that week 1. But ultimately he just has to catch the ball and get himself going. Goff was trying to get him the ball. Some players just get the yips. Hopefully the big catch in overtime gets him going on a short week.
He does for sure, and you wish he had the mentality to shake off bad plays (he’d make an awful CB), but some guys just struggle with that, including some great players. Hell I have a 50 year old buddy who played college basketball and to this day he’ll fall apart if you get under his skin early, despite being 20X the player any of the rest of us are (or were, at this point). Rory McIlroy is another guy affected by this, he openly talks about how a bad opening round wrecks his weekend. James Harden, Clayton Kershaw in the postseason, it’s just the way some guys are wired.
You see it happen to pitchers in baseball often. Guy has all the talent in the world but just can’t throw a strike anymore. All between the ears.
He had one drop too many. The end-around too was an obvious mistake. But George Pickens dropped 2 balls against the Giants and they lost. Waddle dropped a key 3rd down late in the 1st half that would’ve led to at least 3 points. Changing that halftime score to 17-7 instead of 14-10 (at worst).
It happens to everyone. Jamo hopefully just decided to do all his in one game. Which we still won btw…
Concerning? Not for me. Because this will always be apart of the equation for him. If he didn’t have this issue…we would be talking Tyreek Hill level. And would that really be fair to the rest of the league? Lol. He’s probably not a Lion anymore either if that were the case ![]()

I thought you were talking about his ability to keep a secret… If you tell him something in confidence

@Nate I agree with you. I am also glad to see this thread. Because I think it’s not as bad as it felt at 445 on Sunday. That tweet summarizes my thinking for a week 1 performance.
