Garrett has the best sack/game mark of any DE in NFL history. Aaron Donald has the best sack/game mark of any DT in NFL history. Turner has been amongst the most proficient interior pass rushers since entering the league. Fiske has been quite good as well. Young is a legit threat on the other EDGE. Will be a ridiculous pass rush. No doubt about it.

I’m pretty sure Brad and his team are well aware of who plays where and how loaded certain teams may be. Without us being in the room, none of us know how hard Brad has tried to make a deal. He’s made it clear he’s not mortgaging the future. AD came out of retirement, Ragnow tried and it didn’t work. What exactly are Brad and Dan not doing? Also, can we agree that LA is a bit more appealing than Detroit when it comes to attracting and retaining FAs?

Do the Lions have a hall of fame player you’d like to see unretire? I suppose they could give Calvin a call. If you guys are waiting for Dan to tremble in fear, you clearly have the wrong coach. That doesn’t make him a smart ass, he just knows games aren’t won on paper.

Good for them, but it’s not like a lot of teams have a recently-retired generational player they can add to the roster. In fact the Rams are the only team who could take this path.

I wonder how quickly he can adapt after being out of the league for two years. Being removed from the daily grind and hitting, I’m sure that takes time to get back. I’m sure he stayed in shape but lots of guys will lose weight when they retire too. We’ll see

The Lions have a slew of weapons that can help neutralize the Rams pass rush.

Not eliminate it as a factor altogether, of course, but when you have Gibbs, Saint, Jamo and Sam, you can create a game plan where the ball comes out quick and you move the chains. And pass to set up the run.

Not happy about this as an NFC rival, but not going to stomp my feet and cry about it either.
