Love this guy.
I really want him to succeed and go on to be a great head coach in the afc. But I also want him to stay because I think he’s going to be great.
He’s from Texas and played briefly for the Texans. Maybe that’s a good fit? I don’t think Lovie has a chance in hell of keeping the Texans job for long.
I’m good with that. As long as he doesn’t end up in Minnesota or Chicago making us regret helping him get his shot twice a year. Lol
And backed up by Anthony “Unpleasant” . Seriously love having both those guys on the defensive side of the ball.
I just wouldn’t trust the owner or Easterby. I’d wait for another job if I were Glenn.
If we had a post of the month, this would receive my Vote! Too funny
In retrospect, that nickname should have be obvious after he bitchslapped Jeff Okudah on the sidelines last year. I like it.
That’s the kind of no nonsense coaching I love, and the right type of players love it too. No BS, straight to the point. I remember that sideline scene, and I also remember Okudah had a great game after that point, right before he got injured. Looked like he was turning a corner.
Enjoy him as this is his last year as a Lion.
“Do your job! You got that!? DO…YOUR…JOB!”
Coach chewed some behind right there.
Good. I’m all for coaches like pleasant that get in your face when they need to but don’t go over the top. They have that sense when to go push the players and when to take a more passive approach. That’s not an easy quality to find and why I think Glenn and pleasant will both go on to be good head coaches.
not a candyass country club feel around here anymore.
I think the staff being mostly former players strike a nice balance between knowing when to be a hardass vs when to take a more laid back approach. We’ve all had coaches that yell and scream all the time. It quickly loses its effectiveness.
