About JAMO last night!

last night Jamo was 2 for 80 yards. So by my math he was only targeted 2x?

why only 2 targets? Wass he loafing? Not running routes? Blanket coverage?

Jamo, after Tyreek Hill, is the fastest guy in the league. Get him the damn ball! The Dolphins do get Hill his touches. How come we aren’t using Jamo more?

I thought you were talking about this.

Please look at this with perspective

  • he is!!! Being used but used wisely
  1. leading receiver on the team
  2. 23 yrs per catch
  3. tied with ARSB for TDs

It’s working

Literally only had 18 pass plays by Goff.

Dont need to overthink it for that game at least.

But also agree, he should be seeing 4-6 targets as a floor consistently and a rush or two a game.

What’s internet is the game splits so far

Firs two games he had the highest targets and we lost one and took another into OT

The last two game were he used more of a decoy and threat and only had a few targets… we win and we see him maximizing things

As he matures imho he will get more target and be successful

Right now the dude is balking as a decoy and blocker first and then targets

Unlike many other teams we don’t force feed anyone the ball like you have to with some of the other league stars. Think that’s a testament to the unselfish nature of the team and having the right guys.

Also IMO makes us multi dimensional and harder to stop because we can literally beat you in so many way…just can’t step on our dicks and we are golden!

Jamo is quickly turning in to one of my favorite players on the team.

Tim Patrick - We have 2 #1 receivers, 2 #1 tight ends, and 2 #1 running backs. Lots of weapons. And him too.

Two of the league’s top 8 separators. Not bad.

He’s got 25 targets and 3 carries in 4 games… So we have been trying to get him the ball a fair bit. We got a lot of weapons so the defense will often dictate where the ball goes.

Weaponized in different way too - blocking - fast enough to get there and lead the way from distance. super-cool

Love it - I have been predicting statements like this would be coming since we drafted him.

Curious where Raymond falls…

This is exactly what I’m talking about when I say how lucky Goff is to have a top run game, top OL and best WRs at getting open!

I like “Waymo” should mean Way More .

He played on 96% of the snaps which was the most of any Lions receiver…. he got plenty of opportunities. In fact more than anyone else. St Brown only had 89%

He caught two passes of the 18 Goff threw. So roughly 11% of targets went to him.

Williams had just a 67.9 grade on the game. That put him behind Laporta, Patrick and St Brown. The only qualifying receiver to have a lower grade was Raymond.

The Lions are clearly trying to develop him. He’s getting the opportunities. He just has to go out there and continue to grow as a player.

Ya i think based on the routes they run that jamo is not the first read on as high of a percentage of his snaps as sun god. Which makes sense really but i do expect jamos target share to continue to be in the 5-6 plus a run or two range in a normal week.

Monday was not a normal game flow.

well said BigNatty! It’s amazing, even after a win I can still find things to bitch about!!!
