Like being over some random dollar number matters in today’s nfl.
Doesn’t matter they are winning the SB. It’s over. Was a good run Detroit but that’s it. At least according to a bunch of “experts”
The crazy thing is I’m not even sure the Packers are the second best team in the North. Vikings ain’t exactly chopped liver?
Does that bother you? The talking heads say what they need to say to keep their jobs. The Lions are relevant bc we are both one of the best teams and the most entertaining teams. People care about the Detroit Lions. So we’re now a hot take target bc we drive clicks/ratings. Rich people problems!
Hard Knocks won alot of people over. There are tons of fans of other teams that now follow the Lions as an alternate team. They love Dan and everything he stands for. And we play football like alot of fans wish their team would play.
I’m with my SIL this week mountain hikes, breweries and now Athens for football and, of course, breweries. He is a die hard Packer fan, was raised wrong.. and he is hating all of this "Packers are the favorites with the Eagles talk now.
His thoughts.
They still have some questions on defense, potential answers but secondary and the middle of the DLine. Has concerns on Love, he keeps turning it over and what about the WR’s - Watson is a waste in his opinion, Goldin maybe but how long til he is ready?
It’s also been funny listening to sirius NFL channel the last three days, Packers are getting the Cowboy treatment. IOW, 95% discussion on the Cowboys and 5% on the Packers. It’s been funny seeing them get this treatment as I’m used to it with the Lion history.
they have a one season window to get it done. after that they become the 2019 bears
Most importantly we’re authentic. I think that’s why people loved Hard Knocks. Instead of being your typical coach that is trying to fit molds, Dan let’s human being humans. People love authenticity and their is an authenticy drought due to the rise of tthe attention economy.
they have a one season window to get it done. after that they become the 2019 bears
Not really. It doesn’t say anything much about their future cap.
I suspect the Parsons money is largely back-loaded, but that’s usually how big contracts work anyways.
I actually love it because this team feeds off being disrespected. I don’t know how the experts see the Packers with a better roster than Detroit or Minnesota….just because they got Micah? LeFleur a better coach than DC or KOC? I like him but he started his HC career with a HOF QB still in his prime. Just tired of the media’s love of the Packers. I do like that no team has more pressure to win now than the Packers. The Packers biggest accomplishment last year by the media is that they kept the game close against the Eagles in the playoffs.
They’ll figure out the money and maybe this helps them financially bc they can’t overpay some of their young players that IMO are mostly just good lerm rather than stars.
The Packers arguably now have the biggest star in the division relative to his position. We still roster the seven or so stars that come next in that hiwrchay.
All great info… tough to beat a good brewery as football seasons approaches and baseball closes out..
The Lions have won 7 more games than the Packers the last 2 years… many are worried about DE, I’m more worried about whether our 2 OGs and rookie DTs are comparable talents to Zietler, Jonah Jackson, and Mac- if they are? We are still much better
Golden doesn’t profile as a #1, and Doubs and Reed are what they are… lot of tread on Jacobs with no depth behind him
Lions QB- better
Lions RBs- much better
Lions WRs- much better
Lions OTs- much better
Lions OGs- ?
Lions C- worse
Lions DE- worse
Lions DT- better
Lions LB- similar
Lions CB- better
Lions S- better
Lions P- better
Lions K- better
so Micah Parsons was clearly a move to improve the Packers.. he’s averaged 13 sacks over the past 2 years vs just 3.5 from LVN
Vikings ain’t exactly chopped liver?
Last in the division.
You think the Vikings have the worst roster in the division?
You think the Vikings have the worst roster in the division?
Yes.
Either them or Da Bears.
I think the Vikings have a better roster than GB or Chicago but just my opinion. The QB position is a big question mark but JJ is definitely talented.
The Vikings defense, agree. The Vikings offense, they’re weak at QB, RB, and at least in the short-term WR.
I’d take Vikings OL and especially the WR room over the Packers.
