Minkah apparently had some of his own injury problems last season but nothing like what our safeties are dealing with, and that contract isn’t bad.

But high on Aaron Brewer? Smaller than we prefer at Center but the trench needs had him as the league’s best center last year.
Kerby is one of the highest paid safeties in the league. Branch has a chance to be if he returns ti previous form from his injury.

I’m going to put it on record that Kerby will not return to previous form. I don’t know any more than anyone else, but it seems to me like the knee is irreparable and even if he could manage it with injections and whatnot, he’s not mentally right either.
Safety is a big hole for this team IMO. This would have been a great trade to make as insurance with a really high upside.

I thought we should have drafted Achane, even after we took Gibbs. But I wanted to sort of make him a pseudo WR weapon, fearing he wouldn’t hold up as a RB. That hasn’t been the case so far.
We are at the very beginning of seeing guys come all the way back from achilles injuries. Remember, guys used to be done after ACL tears too (Billy Sims). Eventually the medical science field catches up. Jadarian Price tore his achilles a few years back, and you wouldn’t know it watching his tape now. And that’s as violent a position on that tendon as safety is. Maybe more violent.
Unfortunately I agree. I don’t think Kirby plays again. I pray I’m wrong but I have a bad feeling.
Minkah had more picks than the entire Jets team last year.

We won’t get production out of Joseph or Branch. Branch was slow to begin with so the thought he’s going to come back better is insane thinking IMO.

We’ll see. Word is they’re in pretty heavily for Willis, and if they decide to pay him I doubt they’re in for a tank. I don’t think they should, I think they should just blow it up. But they might.
