Bullock, off the top of my head, was in San Fran and still is. It was his counterpart in the defensive backfield, if I remember correctly. I remember seeing both of their names in front office/coaching positions and being amazed
Now I’ll go look.
ETA: no way! I was thinking Gerald Alexander, but he’s DB coach in Pittsburgh
I couldn’t have been more wrong. Very surprising. Crazy how much football IQ came out of an 0-16 team.
I doubt Agnew will be in line for the job since Troy Aikman is doing the selecting. After the shit show our O-Line put out there this year all of the national media believe Ben Johnson was the master mind behind all of our success the last few years. I think he would just get the interview to comply with the Rooney rule but not taken serious.
I do think Agnew could fill a role as GM in that he is a talent evaluator but he may need a team around him. If you had a finance guy with him that was shrewd at running the cap and contracts I think it would work. We could really use those 2 3rd round picks.
How about we make testing strips for NFL organizations. They are like the PH strips for hot tubs. Just place them in the mouths of the potential GM/HC hire and if the strip changes colors then you know they are comp pick eligible.
