I hate to think what the Blue Jays would do to us right now. It would be like the Lions vs the Bengals.
Exactly @socko
We got a series. But last week I was told the Tigers should fire everyone. This aint over yet. In factā¦itās now best of 3 with 2 in Detroit

We need HRs to win this series. Had the big HR yesterday. No HR today. That was the difference. We donāt hit well enough to score outside of HRs.
Yep dingers or nothng has been the Tigers approach all season..
But win one at home⦠And game 5 is Skubal again. Tigers gonna win this series IMO
Yea he is decent with no one on base
But look at his splits with runners on and RISP
Also he gets used very little as a right handed hitter
70% of his ABs were as a lefty against right handed pitching.
He is average at best and not good with runners on
I guess you could keep him as a 25th player but he shouldnāt be getting anywhere near 350 ABās in the season. He ahs 344 this season and that is 9th on the team.
The Tigers team batting average in the playoffs is now 0.186. The Blue Jays are at 0.392.
On a sidenote, just went outside for a smoke and aint never seen a full moon so bright and glaring that I cant even look at it without getting near blindedā¦.wtf nature
Gorgeous. God the creator is amazing.
now if he could just fix that kidsā cancer thing.
I had to go to bed last night. I didnāt want to continually get worked up at the ridiculous at bats we were putting forth (for the umpteenth time). looks like we made it interesting butā¦3 hits?

So we shouldnāt be optimistic about stealing game 1 and having our ace on the mound for game 2?
I guess this particular forum has gotten to the point that we shouldnāt be happy about anything. Just post a bunch of negative shit and ridicule the people who are hopeful.
@frm710 I truly enjoyed posting with you and some others last year but I have way too much negative shit going on in my life already that Iām not going to willingly subject myself to a bunch more of it.
Iām outā¦GO TIGERS
Dont go man. I did alot of boozin yesterday and into the night, and was a bit more snarky/irritable than usual watching the game. Of course itās turned out to be a good season, but the lack of offensive support for Skoobs, again, just stuck up in my craw and got me all up in my drunken feelings last night
Itās all good dude. I think very highly of you, and you have the right to post anything your heart desires.
I was really happy when Nate opened the Tigers forum up. I love shooting the shit with fellow Tiger fans. It just became something different than what it was.
Itās too hard for me to read one crappy post after another, and not get all negative myself about the team that I love. I really donāt need it right now. Itās a me problem not a you problem.
Understand and keep up the fight!!! Prayers are with you.
Hang in there Bols !!!
If you told me we would be 1-1 coming home in a 5 game series I would take that in a heart beat
We take the next 2 games!!!
It is hard @bols and @frm710 because for the most part, all the Tigers discussion happens in these game day threads. Of course, anybody who dares to step their toes into the Lions game days thread know that it is pretty much a requirement to be toxic towards your team and call for the public of execution of Brad Holmes when one of his 3rd round picks misses a block on a 2nd down run play. But it is easy to avoid the Lions gameday thread (as I mostly do) and just focus on all the dozens of other more sane and reasoned threads about the team.
However, the Tigers gameday thread affords us no luxury, because the couple of other threads about them are sparse and honestly are just as negative as the gameday thread.
I wish I could wave a magic wand that compels posters not to wish harm upon Scott Harris and the next 4 generations of his offspring every time Parker Meadows pops out, but I do not have that power. I can only hope that other posters will perhaps take a āchill pillā (or gummy) and just enjoy the ride of playoff baseball. A thing that 22 other fan bases donāt get to do right now.
That has been the hard part, ie 162+ games vs 17+ and the team has a lot of question marks, always have.
I love baseball and threads started to wear on me towards the end while also realizing the team has played like absolute dogshit the last 7-9weeks. So, criticism is warranted yet, I didnāt think they would get to the playoffs much less beat Cleveland in Cleveland in round 1. TBH, same thought for Seattle, very happy we came back with home field adv, that was the goal, split in Seattleā¦they did that.
