Granted the 30times this happened the teams advancing probably had an offense…

In Division Series with the current 2-2-1 format, teams to earn a split of the first two games on the road before returning home for Games 3-4 have advanced 30 of 48 times (62.5%).

That’s exactly what you told my great Aunt Kathy in Chatham too

There is an ignore feature…

I have decided that the Tigers are winning Game 3 tomorrow.

In fact, we’re actually winning the series in 4, meaning we’re winning tomorrow and Wednesday.

We are 7-2 in the postseason the last two years when I don’t get to watch the entire game for school related reasons, and 0-3 when I actually get the opportunity to watch the entire game.

I’m volunteering at the hospital during the game tomorrow and have a physics lab during the game on Wednesday.

I hate most old movies. They just don’t do it for me.

I watch that one every time it’s on though.

Lmao. I don’t see that as an old movie. To me the late 50’s through the 70’s is old.

Looks like Hinch is putting Flaherty on the mound tomorrow, against Gilbert. Was expecting Mize so it’s a bit surprising. Which means Mize against Hancock? on Wednesday. Mariners haven’t announced their Wednesday pitcher yet, so just assuming Hancock.

If we can somehow win tomorrow I feel pretty good about a Mize vs Hancock match up. If we don’t win tomorrow I still feel pretty good about that Mize vs Hancock match up, which would then push it to a game 5 rematch of Skubal vs Castillo in Seattle.

I wonder if Hinch was just thinking that it would be better to put Flaherty on the mound tomorrow knowing that if we don’t win we’ll have a more advantaged line up with Mize vs Hancock on Wednesday. Or does he really see Flaherty as the hotter hand right now over Mize. I know Flaherty had a great game against the Guardians in that game 3, so it could be that Hinch does see Flaherty as the hotter hand right now.

On a serious note… Woo being hurt. What a break for the Tigers. He’s one of the best pitchers in the league. He will probably finish top 5 in Cy Young votes

sad thing is we’re making every pitcher look like him.

It would be nice but tigers can’t hit. Im hoping tomorrow will that day they can

I mean, really…what happened after the all star break? It really is a tale of two teams.

I realize some guys were playing above their careers but for everyone to suddenly take a collective shit is bizarre to me. I mean was the tape out so you can just pitch them high or low out of the zone and they’ll go fishing?

From the Freep today;

The Tigers flipped Flaherty and Mize in the rotation.

It was a choice to go with Flaherty for Game 3 of the ALDS, and if the Tigers sweep the Mariners in the best-of-five series, then Mize will start Game 1 of the ALCS.

“We have to pick an order,” Hinch said before Sunday’s game. “We could do it the other way and feel completely the same, but we have to choose, and we’re going to go with this order.”

“There are some slight reasons why we’re doing it,” Hinch said. “Obviously, Jack on regular routine, regular rest is really attractive. When he catches his rhythm and timing and execution, that’s really brought out a good version of him and someone we trust a ton.”

Not worried about any pitching at this point.

This rotation is gonna hold them to under 4 runs. Thats all i ask.

The problem has been for the last 3+ years. Hitting.
The problem in the peak 2006- 2013 days? Hitting.

They are doing just enough sure. But no wear near good enough to win it all
