Before we get to stressing about the playoffs, let’s take a step back and take in that when you account for the level of difficulty/adversity, we just finished one of the best regular seasons in league history.

Now let’s finish with one of the best postseasons in league history! Beating all our opponents 69-0. Hutch with 7.5 sacks in the Super Bowl. Goff throws for 1500 yards and 15 TDs in the playoffs. Sheila Hamp gets crowned Queen of Michigan.

The lions literally were in the best division in NFL history and won the division and swept every team. Thats crazy.

With 16ish guys on IR and over half of the starting defense for a considerable chunk of the season.

Which is my point. I think we should all spend a day or two just admiring the magical regular season. Then on CFB Semis and Wild Card round.

I wonder if they’ve talked to Betts lately?

I try not to think much about next season since we are in the midst of the greatest Lions season in history, but its hard not to get excited.

We bring back every major contributor on offense, outside of Zietler and Tim Patrick and I think they are both back are fairly modest deals. Maybe 2 years 10mil for Patrick and 2 years, 15mil for Zietler.

On defense, we have Melifonwu, Carlton Davis, Davenport, Barnes and Levi as key FA’s.

Levi and Davis have been the only real contributors this season. I believe we wind up bringing Davis back. The rest of those guys will completely depend on their market. I think each one of them could be back at the right price. Even if we lost most of these guys, the only true starter would be Davis. Not to mention the devlopment of guys like Arnold and Rakestraw in year 2 and whoever we add this off-season.

This team is looking like an absolute monster in 2025, with the only major unknown being what happens at OC and DC next season.

Right. It will all be about how we mitigate brain drain.

I was giddy this morning, while I was flipping between the talking head shows, and I didn’t have to wait more than about five minutes before any of them were showing something from or talking about the Lions. IN THE POSTSEASON!!

What is odd at that stat is behind Chicago, Detroit would account for second most.

Chicago- 7
Detroit - 2
Vikings - 1
Green Bay -1

Gotta win division games, more so this year than ever. Really 0 help.

This may be the toughest division to win ever with lack of help (or at least since NFL went to this alignment of divisions), making this accomplishment truly special.

I’d bett against that one…

Will ESPNbaby be King of Michigan?
