Andy Dalton taken out

I saw this broken down during the pregame on NBC and they were showing more of the post play, seems no Cowboy players came to Dalton’s defense. Very odd to see a QB knocked out and teammates not rush to his defense.

I think the lineman that came to him right away might have thought he was dead. One heck of a hit

Dallas Cowboys players are pathetic. Jerry needs to get rid of some of these POS especially Zeke. Most overpaid clown in the NFL. Mccarthy makes Garrett look like Belichick.

That was brutal and uncalled for. Curious to see the suspension length. Considering the “hard” hits on Stafford, he might get death.

Your call Kommandant Goodell…

I truly believe they would still be brawling on the field of anyone hit our QB like that

Hit by former Lion Jon Bostic.

I don’t see it …I have no Dog in this fight . Objectively speaking I get the penalty in real time…As far as a suspension or fine goes what was LB Bostic supposed to do . It was 3rd and 10 and Dalton slid real late . Bostic crushed him because he has to go low , he crushed him before Dalton’s ass even hit the floor on the slide .

I do not not see ill will on the play or anything flagrant, it even looked like Bostic tried to roll and hit him with his back mid air and abandoned wrapping up . I do not think a suspension is coming

The thing that makes seeing Dallas totally suck even more enjoyable than it already would be is seeing them totally suck with that pompous ass MM as their head coach

Marty Morningweg?!?

Can you imagine the amount of Tex-Mex he’s probably consuming right about now? MM strikes me as a stress eater. And a celebratory eater. And a sustenance eater. And a …

You know he is drinking Tequila and mumbling “Coaching was so much easier when all I had to do was let Aaron Rodgers be Aaron Rodgers…”

I agree. If Dom Raiola was still playing he might of killed Bostic right there on the field. :joy:

Mike McCarthy was asked if he wishes some of his players would’ve got in Bostic’s face after the hit on Dalton:
“We speak all the time about playing for one another, protecting one another. It definitely was not the response you would expect.”

Not in today’s racial climate. A white player would be risking major backlash if he intervened with a black player, regardless of the situation.
They made the right decision in just letting it go. Trust me on this one.

Fuck that

I disagree.

Bostic is two yards away from Dalton when Dalton’s knee is almost touching the ground. There’s really no excuse to hit him at this point. I’m not saying Bostic is the biggest POS in the world for this but at the same time it was totally unnecessary and it’s odd that not a single player approached Bostic. I agree with what Mike McCarthy said.

The Cowboys have been going through the motions since Dak was injured. Losing your leader to such a graphic injury has to be incredibly demoralizing. That said, it is McCarthy’s job to keep the team from folding like they have. Hiring him was a really bad decision.

Dalton is still upright and running in that photo and Bostic had already started to lower his shoulder.

Let’s look at it frame by frame shall we.

Notice Bostic had already started to lower his shoulder and go down before Dalton even started to slide.

Bostic didn’t even come in hard. The speed came from Dalton. All Bostic did was lower his shoulder and Dalton came barreling into him. They collided at a high speed because Dalton came it at a high speed and slid into Bostic late. If Dalton slides sooner all Bostic does is touch him.
